Good Morning Reception. It looks like the sun might start to shine over the next few days so fingers crossed.

Here are your activities for today

Activity 1: During spring, seeds begin to grow. In the story of Jack and the Beanstalk, Jacks beans grow into a magic beanstalk. Read the story of Jack and the Beanstalk (see link below). Talk about the story and discuss the following.

• The main characters
• The key events in the story

Can you re-enact the story of Jack and the beanstalk? You  might want to make your own masks to act out the story.

Please continue to complete your 5 a day on ‘doodlemaths’. Rememeber to look out for an extras you may have been assigned

 

Phonics

When reading Jack and the Bean stalk, look out for key words you know

Listen to the song tricky words (You tube), see link below. Get an adult to say a tricky word and see if you can write them outside using chalk, water, in the mud, in sand, in the sky. Can you say a sentence using the tricky word.? Can you link the sentence to the story Jack and the Beanstalk.
