Our staff firmly believe that the key to successful education is positive relationships.

Our staff creates a very welcoming and happy environment for you and your child. Please always feel free to come and ask us if you are unsure or worried about something, or indeed if you have something to celebrate with us!

	Mrs Calpin  Head Teacher     Mrs Calpin is our Head Teacher.  As part of this role, she leads the curriculum and is currently link lead for DT as well as liaising with Miss Timney as Deputy Child Protection Leader.
	Mr Pickering Assistant Head Teacher     Mr Pickering is one of our Assistant Head Teachers. He is a Year 3/4 Teacher as well as being our enthusiastic Computing Leader and our Assessment coordinator.
	Miss Todd Assistant Head Teacher     Miss Todd is also one of our Assistant Head Teachers. She is a Reception teacher as well as leading Art and PSHE in the school. As part of her role Miss Todd also oversees the school learning environment as well as the online learning environment.
	Miss Timney  Special Educational Needs Coordinator Designated Safeguarding Lead Miss Timney is our Special Educational Needs Coordinator and Designated Safeguarding Lead as well as one of our Year 3 teachers.

 Foundation Stage One - Nursery

Mrs Hyland is our teacher in Nursery. She works closely with Mrs Kellett to support our Nursery children. Mrs Hyland is also in charge of all the Design and Technology in our brilliant school.

Foundation Stage Two - Reception

Mrs McDermott, Mrs Twist, Miss Todd and Miss Papworth look after our 2 wonderful Reception classes. Mrs McDermott is our Early Years Leader, coordinating both Nursery and Reception. Mrs McDermott is also the Educational Visits Leader in school. Mrs Twist is also our Music Leader in Early Years. Miss Papworth is also responsible for Geography. 

We have a great team supporting our Reception teachers. Mrs Spencer and Mrs McKiernon, support the children as well as helping the classroom run smoothly. 

 

Year One and Year Two

Mrs Schmidt and Mrs Johnson share one of our Year 1 classes. Mrs Johnson supports Miss Todd in leading Art across the school.  

Mrs Hill and Mrs Agar look after our two Year 2 classes. Mrs Hill is also our Religious Education Leader and Mrs Agar is our phonics leader. Mrs Emerson, Mrs Gilbert and Mrs Outhwaite support the children in these classes. 

Year Three and Year Four

Mr Pickering, Mrs Clarkson and Mr Clarkson are responsible for our three year 3/4 classes. The adults supporting in these classes are Mrs Radmall, Miss Colby, Mrs Stevenson, Mrs Taylor, Miss Hamilton, Mrs Warrington and Miss Ball. 

Mrs Clarkson is also our Reading Lead working closely with Mrs Agar and Ms Howson.

Mr Clarkson is our Modern Foreign Languages leader and assists Miss Todd in keeping the website up to date. 

 

Year Five and Six

Miss Howson is one of our Year 5/6 Teachers.  Miss Howson is our English Leader, focusing on writing and Reading link lead. Mrs Willsher supports the children in this class.

Mr Constantine is another of our excellent Year 5/6 teachers. He is supported in class by Mrs Thompson. Mr Constantine is also our creative Maths Leader and P.E. subject leader.

Miss Jackson is the last Year 5/6 teacher. Miss Jackson is our history expert in school leading all aspects of history and embedding it in the curriculum. Mrs Mrs Thornton supports Miss Jackson. 

Mrs Gilson is a sports specialist who teachers P.E. throughout the school during the teachers planning time. 

 

Our Admin and Clerical Staff

Mrs Wharam is our Admin officer, providing a friendly link between home and school life and supporting Mrs Calpin in her role.

Mrs Ford is our School Business Manager.  Her role involves ensuring that school funds are spent efficiently to guarantee high-quality resources throughout the school.

Mrs Chesworth provides Administration Support in the school office. This includes coordinating the admissions to Before and After School Clubs, ordering stock and coordinating School Dinners.

Mrs Kelly is our school caretaker who is supported by Miss Hall, Mrs Goodman and Mrs Casey. They all work hard to ensure that our school and grounds are kept to the highest standards. They regularly leave our children messages to praise how clean and tidy the classrooms and cloakrooms are!

Miss Burn is our head cook and leads our catering team. She is ably supported by Miss Steele, Mrs Harvey, Mrs Kidd and Mrs Butterill to produce our delicious school meals.

Mrs Selkirk leads our team of Midday Supervisors to organise calm and happy lunchtimes in school. Our Midday Supervisor team includes; Mrs Emerson, Miss Hall, Mrs Henderson, Mrs Kenny, Mrs Knight, Mrs Thornton, Mrs Willsher and Mrs Taylor.
