Using the grid on the file below called “Viking research grid“, use the internet to research whether the Vikings were civilised or savage? The headings of the boxes will help you to understand what to research.

Writing – Argument Text - Are the Vikings civilised or savage?

Your writing task this week is to write an argument text on whether the Vikings were civilised or savage. Use the PowerPoint below called “argument text help“ to help you understand what an argument text should look and sound like. Your research notes from earlier in the week will give you ideas of what to write. You can use the planning grid below called “argument text planning grid”.

Science – Fair Test – Copper Cleaning

This experiment investigates what substances clean copper coins the best and the focus is on making it a fair test. You will need 6 copper coins, some cups, ketchup, vinegar, lemon juice, baking soda, cola, household cleaner.

It is important that you use the same amount of each substance and keep the coin in the substances for the same amount of time – we recommend 3 minutes.

The lines below called “science experiment” give more information and where you should write up your results.
